Anthropic's London founder house is watch-only now

Applications for Anthropic's Claude Founder House London are closed, and the livestream on Sep 23 is the only door left. The agenda shows a lab courting the UK's top AI founders with its internal playbook, office hours, and a pitch that startups and Anthropic win together.

Anthropic's London founder house is watch-only now

Applications for Anthropic's Claude Founder House London are closed. What remains on the event page is a livestream, hosted on the page itself at 8:30am BST on Sep 23, 2026, and an agenda that says plainly who Anthropic wanted in the room: founders and CEOs of the UK's top AI-native companies in the morning, the builders who ship in the afternoon.

Anthropic splits the day into two cohorts. The morning runs until 1:00pm BST, with "candid sessions on where the models are heading and the challenges facing founders." The afternoon is hands-on: bring a laptop, build alongside Anthropic engineers who ship with Claude every day, then show what you made at a community showcase. Technical founders can attend both.

A morning built to sharpen your next twelve months

The founder agenda reads like a list of what Anthropic wants young companies to know, in order. First, where Claude goes next, under a session title that drops any pretense of neutrality: "Anthropic on where Claude goes next and why startups and Anthropic win together." Second, an internal playbook for shipping with Claude, the same one Anthropic uses inside its own company. Then panels on building product, teams, and margins around AI, followed by office hours with the Applied AI team and a networking slot the page describes as "a curated room with time built in to work it."

The playbook slot is the most telling. Handing founders the internal method for building with Claude is not standard vendor behavior. It is an operating manual for how Anthropic wants to be used, and it tells a founding team more about working with the lab than any whitepaper. The office hours do the same work in person: a direct line to the Applied AI team, for a room of pre-selected founders.

The page says the morning is built to "sharpen your next twelve months." That is the pitch in one line: the day has to pay for itself in company outcomes. The builder cohort gets a different deal. The Paris and Berlin editions of the series included the teams building Claude Code and scaling Anthropic across Europe, and the London afternoon is built to the same recipe: engineers from the lab working next to outside developers, with a showcase at the end. The split between the two cohorts is itself a statement. Founders decide which model a company builds on; builders decide whether the company can ship with it. Anthropic runs both rooms.

The European circuit: Berlin, Paris, London

This is not a one-off event. Berlin's page called that edition "the inaugural Claude Founder House," and Paris followed with the same two-cohort layout, one day, two tracks, built around "the founders and builders shaping Europe's next generation of AI companies." Our Paris coverage described the format as a bid to turn European AI talent into product, not theory. Anthropic is deepening its European footprint one curated room at a time, the same playbook behind its Seoul office, which opened alongside a roster of local partners.

Every edition is application-only, and every edition describes its places as curated. The control over the guest list is the point: Anthropic is picking a specific set of companies, the ones it believes will shape the next generation of AI startups, and putting its engineers and Applied AI team directly in front of them. The London page is now a spectator page.

Closed applications, open livestream

The London page has moved on from the application form. Anyone can watch the stream; nobody new gets in. The split is deliberate. A public stream gives the event visibility, while the working sessions stay small enough for the candid conversation the agenda promises.

The same page that closes the form also points visitors to the Build Plan and tells them they can "begin using Claude via the API and Workbench now." The livestream and the API signup live on the same URL, and Anthropic has made that signup easier with simpler API tiers and higher rate limits. The event builds the relationship; the API keeps it.

What the stream cannot show is whether the curation worked. Margins are on the founder agenda, an unusual topic for a model provider to raise and a sign that Anthropic is pitching itself as a long-term operating partner, not a vendor. That is the same framing behind the Cognizant deal, which will train 30,000 staff on Claude. Its own argument, repeated across the event copy, is that startups and Anthropic win together. The next twelve months will test that argument. The room has already been chosen, and the livestream opens Sep 23, 2026 at 8:30am BST.
